Villa 909 in Tuscany, Italy

Near Lucca, in the special valley of Vorno, is the small paradise that is Villa 909. The ancient casale, originally used partially as a mill for the family and the few inhabitats of the village and part as a farmhouse, has beeen beautyfully restored. It has no architectural pretences, is of simple lines, and the materials used in construction are those of the time: stones, hand-made bricks, timber beamed ceilings, terracotta floors. As was customary, the ground floor was used to house animals and the farm workers slept upstairs.

The spirit of this place, near a small village just outside Lucca, lies in its absolute simplicity and today, even if the mill wheel no longer turns, the timeless ancient atmosphere and flavors are present. Quiet, silence and serenity is the philosophy of life offered here, as the villa is brought back to life for your enjoyment. Here in the warm golden afternoons you can breathe these simple values of the past.

The place which is beside the house of the owners is composed of The Casale, the coach house and the garden. Everything in the Casale have been studied in details and today the rooms of the old mill have become intimate and luxurious living rooms, full of warmth and welcome: the old stable on the ground floor is now the dining room where we can admire the vaulted ceilng, the stonework and other traditional workmanship.

Family TV Room & Main Entrance
At the main entrance of the Casale you will enter in the TV room composed

Dining room

After the TV room on the left you will enter on the dining room with a long rectangular table where they can seat up to 12 people. On the left side of the room there is a large furniture and at the corner a stone fireplace. On this side you will find the door that connect with the garden.

Office

From the dining room you can connect to the office with a desk with computer, phone , fax machine and internet.

Kitchen

Connecting with the dining room there is the kitchen which is large with at the center a square table where they can seat up to 8 people. The furnishing is made in tipycal Tuscan style with stone kitchen and a big furniture.

From the kitchen there is a door that takes to the stairs to get to the patio where you can seat for a drink and enjoy the wiew of Vorno valley and the small river beside.

Coach house

Once you get out from the kitchen door you can find also the small coach house which is composed by 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. One bedroom is a twin room with 2 single beds and the other bedroom is a single room.

First Floor

• 1 suite double bedroom with bathroom en suite

From the TV room there are 2 ramps of stairs to get to the 1st floor where you will find a small lounge with a small sofa for 2 peoples. On the upper floor are five double bedrooms, each with private bathroom. Three room face north with views to the hills and the valley and two look southwards over the brook and the garden. Of the five bedrooms, one is a large master suite with sitting room. All bedrooms have been studied to keep 100% the privacy of the guests.

Furnishings have been carefully and patiently selected during the work of restoration to provide the utmost in comfort and luxury, with period furniture and splendid decorative objects. Nothing has been left to chance. Bathrooms are luxurious, fittes with tubs and showers.

From the stairs turning on the left you will get to 2 double queen bedrooms , size of beds 180cm.

Master bedroom

The 1st bedroom which is the master bedroom is composed also by en suite bathroom connected by a cloak room.

The bathroom like all bathrooms is complete of bath tub with shower and the whole room is finished in the tonality of yellow. (each bathroom have different color tonality) Also in the bathroom like in all bathrooms there is the electric towels drier.

The master bedroom have queen bed size 180cm with 2 furniture.

Double bedroom

The other bedroom is composed by a queen bed size 180cm with 1 furniture. The bathroom with tub with shower and electric towels drier is finished in the colour light blue.

Twin bedroom

Going back to the lounge we get throught the corridor which takes to the other 3 bedrooms. Turning on the right at the end of the corridor there is the only twin bedroom with 2 single beds size cm180 a wonderful wiew to the valley and the garden. Also this room have en suite bathroom with tub with shower and electric towels drier is finished in colour ivory.

Double bedroom (red)

Going back throught the corridor at half way we find another bedroom with double queen bed size cm180. Even this room have a wonderful wiew to the valley and the garden. The en suite bathroom is with tub with shower and with electric towels drier is in apricot colour.

Master Suite room

After the double bedroom here we get to the Master Suite room with a wonderful wiew to the valley and the garden. This room is composed by the sitting room with a sofa for 2 people facing the bedroom and on the left of it a desk with a chair. On the right of the sofa there is furniture. The bed is a double queen bed size cm180. The bathroom is in tonality light blue with tub with shower and electric towels drier.

The spacious garden is filled with potted lemons, olive trees, pines, camellias, wisteria, roses, lavender, rosemary and fruit trees, all forming a splendid bachdrop to the swimming pool. Enjoy conversations under the gazebo, relaxation by the pool or under the natural pergola of the wisteria, or dining al fresco in the place of your choice.
